TimbeReality is the first 360° virtual mall for Malaysian timber products and furniture. The VR digitalisation programme is designed to empower timber companies with their own 360° virtual tours for showrooms and factories. In October 2021, the grand launch of TimbeReality took place at the Everly Hotel, Putrajaya in conjunction with the Agricommodity Week 2021 programme by the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities (MPIC). It was unveiled following a captivating brand activation featuring an impressive light show.

2. Sarawak Energy Virtual Gallery

The gallery showcases their past, present and future in powering Sarawak, where visitors can navigate in the walkthrough, and interact with the elements.

In February 2022, Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg launched the virtual gallery as part of Sarawak Energy's 100th anniversary celebration in a hybrid townhall event. It was displayed on a enormous HD screen and broadcasted at BCCK to staff from 19 different meeting locations, including their homes and individual workstations.

3. InvestKL Virtual Tour

InvestKL launched their newly designed website in 2011, which features their 360° virtual reality (VR) experience to drive awareness of Greater KL while connecting with people through a digital realm. 

During an event by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry, the team went a step further by using the virtual tour to attract hundreds of people to their booth. They welcomed YB Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul to experience the investment hubs through a VR headset, as well as many of the audiences at the exhibition.

4. SeniVR

SeniVR is a virtual reality powered gallery by Yayasan TM which aims to support local artists through virtual and hybrid exhibitions. The initiative connects local artists, art lovers and art collectors by bringing the physical exhibitions of Muzium Telekom into a virtual collaborative space.

Lenggong Virtual Guidebook used in the Perak Agrotourism Carnival 2024 exhibition.

The Lenggong Virtual Guidebook is a unique collaborative project by Actsugi, Majlis Daerah Lenggong and ThinkCity. It combines breahtaking panoramas of Lenggong's archaeological, natural and cultural attractions, along with immersive 360° videos, narration, and stories to bring the district to life.

Majlis Daerah Lenggong drew a crowd with their virtual tour at the Perak Agrotourism Carnival 2024 (PAC 2024). It gave people from all walks of life to explore the beauty of Lenggong and give them a taste of Lenggong's charm in 360°.

6. Selama Tourism Guidebook

Client: Majlis Daerah Selama

The Selama Virtual Tour was crafted by Majlis Daerah Selama and Actsugi to promote the beautiful destinations of Perak's little district. In line with Visit Perak 2024, the virtual tour features all the key natural and cultural gems in Selama through eye-catching panoramas, videos, narration and stories.

The virtual tour was featured in RTM and several media as part of their launching exercise. Majlis Daerah Selama also actively promotes these destinations through a virtual reality setup with VR headsets at tourism events and local festivals.

7. Anantara Desaru Coast Residences Virtual Tour

Client: Minor Hotels

Virtual tours are a great way to engage clients while reducing the cost of on-site visits. To present Anantara Desaru Coast Residences to potential clients, the virtual tour was featured at the client's open house in The St Regis Kuala Lumpur. It was displayed on several televisions within the meeting venue, and would run each panorama in sequence to show every space until the viewers interacted with it. They can explore the spaces for the residences without physically being in Johor.

8. Thankful Memorial Gallery

The Teacher's Appreciation Programme by MSEF pays tribute to the contributions and sacrifices of independent Chinese secondary school educators. One of their initatiatives is the Thankful Memorial Gallery, a 360° 3D virtual exhibition hall specially created to showcase old photographs and exhibitions in an engaging way. 

The virtual exhibition was launched in 2024, and displayed on a TV to allow anyone to interact with the virtual gallery. Visitors can navigate the spaces, and click on the photographs to take a closer look. Thankful Memorial Gallery is also displayed on the Thank You Teacher website.

9. Universiti Teknologi Petronas Virtual Tour

The virtual tour of Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) combines the high-quality panoramas of the university's different departments, state-of-the-art facilities, and specialised equipment. They provide valuable insights into campus life and the resources available to prospective students and staff. It was also featured using a VR set up at the Petronas Twin Towers.

10. Gamuda Cove Township Virtual Tour

Client: Gamuda Cove

The virtual tour of Gamuda Cove encompasses its integrated township along with its residential, commercial, and leisure components. Complete with panoramas of every component, custom hotspots, and aerial labelling, it is used by the client to show potential buyers what the overall development looks like while giving a real sense of the community they are building over time. 

The virtual tour can be viewed from their website, or experienced in the sales gallery. It is also shared with email subscribers in their newsletter, offering an interactive experience for anyone interested in Gamuda Cove.

11. Kuala Lumpur Heritage Walk Virtual Tours

Client: Kuala Lumpur Heritage Walk

The Kuala Lumpur Heritage Walk Virtual Tours consist of two captivating 360° virtual experiences that take you through the beautiful landmarks of the capital city. It was conceptualised during the country's lockdown in collaboration with Kuala Lumpur Heritage Walk, led by award-winning Jane Rai. Through online guided tours, participants can explore the charm of Kuala Lumpur from anywhere in the world.

The virtual tours gained positive attention for their ability to keep the city's heritage accessible and support local guides during challenging times. Due to their effectiveness in drawing media interest and engaging audiences, the project was presented to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC). This highlighted the potential of virtual tours as a sustainable digital tourism model for promoting heritage, as a complement to traditional tourism efforts.

The Uplands III virtual tour also plays a significant role in sales pitches and exhibitions. For their sales team, it serves as an impactful visual aid for securing sales. During property exhibitions and in-person events, the client would set up the virtual tour on a widescreen television so that it can capture the attention of potential buyers. 13. Langkawi Virtual Guidebook

Client: Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC)

In collaboration with DE Rantau programme by MDEC, the Langkawi Virtual Guidebook was created to bring the stunning attractions of the island to life through a digital format. Featuring 360° photos, 360° videos, narration and well-researched stories, the pilot virtual tour project under this digital tourism programme aimed to position Langkawi as a top digital nomad hub in ASEAN. This allowed people from around the world to experience the sights and sounds of the island before and during their visit. 

On 16 October 2022, the official launch of DE Rantau Hub took place at Dash Resort Langkawi, attended by YB Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Annuar bin Haji Musa, Minister of Communications and Multimedia, MDEC and its ecosystem partners. The Langkawi Virtual Guidebook was displayed at an exhibition booth and launched on the main stage.
